WhatsApp team has also announced that they'll soon release a dedicated call log.
It seems like WhatsApp has been constantly innovating, and will be adding new features with its latest changes. For instance, they added the ability to use a secondary smartphone as well. You can log in on a secondary device and place voice and video calls. The interface is now updated with a call log tab in the Windows app that's being tested by a select group of users.
It can take months for WhatsApp mobile features to start making their way to devices running Mac or Windows. At this point, we've only just begun waiting for self-messaging to show up on them. Perhaps we've been waiting too long for a dedicated call log. You can always open specific groups or conversations and hit the call button, but the log has only been accessible on your primary smartphone.
The WABetaInfo team reports that WhatsApp for Windows
2.2240.1.0 beta includes a fresh addition to the sidebar on the left-hand side
of the interface. This new feature is designed to help you see all your voice
and video calls in one place. Keep in mind, though, that it's still in beta and
so your call history may not be perfectly in sync with your primary smartphone some
calls made from linked devices won't show up on your primary device.
In its latest update, the beta call log tab has been rolling
out to users through the Microsoft Store. It should be available on more
devices soon. Eventually, adding this feature to the stable version of the
Windows app should help Meta cross over to full feature parity - but it still
has quite a ways to go before all your connected devices are using WhatsApp in
exactly the same way.
