WhatsApp Announces New Upgrade
Recent
reports reveal that WhatsApp is testing a new upgrade that will allow its users
to send files up to 2GB.
A new
WhatsApp update could be coming soon. According to the recent code, it is
undergoing beta testing in Argentina.
If the
testing is successful, this may be quite the upgrade for WhatsApp. Now, it
limits users to 100MB file transfer. However, high-resolution photos and videos
have enabled files to balloon in size over the past few years.
2Gb. This
big increase greatly increases the usability of WhatsApp, by increasing the file
size limit which will allow consumers to send better media files like higher
quality video, or multiple high-resolution pictures taken on a 108MP camera.
Files larger
than 1MB will now be able to be shared with others outside of your business
network. This is especially helpful for securely sharing large files without
having to go through other transferring or emailing methods.
Even though
new features, like video calling abilities, are proving to improve user
experience, there’s a chance they might never make it into the full version of
WhatsApp.
WhatsApp
released a new feature that lets people share files of up to 2GB limit, but it
is only available in Argentina and limited to a few beta testers.
WhatsApp is
rolling out new file limits to their newest app, which will be cautiously
optimistic. We expect it to be rolled out slowly, and doing so would allow
WhatsApp to monitor if this will be abused.
