iPhone 14 chip may be different from iPhone 14 Pro, Pro Max
There are
rumors that Apple might use different chips for the next series of their
iPhone, suggesting an A16 chip for the iPhone 14 series, and an A16 Pro for the
iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max. For the first time, this will differentiate these
phone models from one another.
According to
reports, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will use the same chip powering their
predecessors, albeit a newer version. Conversely, both iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone
14 Pro Max will use the latest chip of all which is Term A16.
It should be
noted that the iPhone's A15 Bionic chips have no competition since no Android
chipset can currently match the A15. Apple has announced that all of their new
phones in the 14 families will have 6GB RAM, but only the Pro and the Pro Max
models will have LPDDR5 variation. Amongst these rumors is also the possibility
of a $100 rise in price for iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, which are expected to be
released this December 2nd rather than September 27th.
Though the iPhone 14 is speculated to have new size configurations, there are indications that iPhone 14 Max and the Pro Max will not be larger sizes than the iPhone 13.
